From One Child’s Journey to a Community of Possibility

When Eric and Jillian’s son was diagnosed with low vision as a toddler, they were thrust into a world of unfamiliar systems and limited support. The early years were filled with trial and error—learning how to advocate, adapt, and find tools that truly met his needs.

As he entered school, they saw how accessible technology could transform his learning experience. Inspired by that shift, they founded Vision Nonprofit - a 100% volunteer led nonprofit - pay it forward through sharing resources, raising awareness, and ensuring every child with low vision or blindness gets the tools they need to thrive.

That journey proved what’s possible when families are supported. Vision exists for the children still waiting to be seen, the caregivers searching for answers, and the donors who believe in equity. When one child rises, so does the community around them.
